Glass Fish
Quick Sketch
Schuylar on Zbrush (complete)
Schuylar on Zbrush (in progress)
I'm sure you remember our hippie friend Schuylar from last week! This week I am turning him into a 3D image using Zbrush. As I become more comfortable with the program, things seem to be getting easier to create these images.
It might be because Schuylar is my own character from my mind that he seems easier than it was to make Lucille Ball.
I'm like so excited about him!
Look at how realistic it looks towards my cartoon drawing from last week. I feel so accomplished and wish I owned these programs so my comic ideas would flourish to their full heights at home. (But with how much they cost, I can wait a year for 80% off student discounts... haha)

Lucille Désirée Ball attempt on Zbrush
current look:
-after figure drawing teacher told me to shape her face better (after my 3 failed side view change attempts) to try and shape it using front view. It pretty much worked.
-kind of like bad to step 2... :(
former looks:
- Was too "snake woman" like
- Eyes were messed up/too big
- I LOVED the lips and nose though

Final of Hippie/Rooster assignment
Meet Schuylar the human and Seed the rooster.
Seed is a 4 year old rooster who is timid and prefers to be alone even though he heavily relies on his friends. Seed is very alert and notices everything around him, even if it annoys him. He was born in a Kentucky farmer's barn and often travels with his hippie friends across the country playing music.
Schuylar is a 22 year old human who was born and raised in Florida. He really tries to stay away from home because his family does not appreciate that he chose to be a musician instead of go to medical school.
They met several times at festivals that their bands travel to perform at and are often to be forced in each others company. Sky likes Seed and wishes to get to know the rooster better, but Seed makes that difficult because of his want to be alone when they are not performing.

Phase 1: Introducing the Hippie Rooster!
For our first assignment we must have an occupation/lifestyle and an animal of the Chinese Zodiac.
My animal will be a hippie rooster.
The rooster is described by the zodiac as perfectionists, very alert, critical, neat and orderly, zealous, practical, conservative, responsible, acute, over egotistical, meticulous, and self assured. (Bold expressions are the traits I will most focus on.)
The hippie sub-culture first appeared in the 1960s in the United States by a youth movement. Hippies are commonly known for their vibrant clothing and peace sign jewelry/ hand symbol with two fingers.
